Change the Way You Think

We all have heard the saying “a mind is a terrible thing to waste!” In our minds we have so much capacity for Greatness, to learn, to create, to think and grow, and it is so tragic that we don’t use them to the highest potential.

There were times in my life when I allowed too many damaging thoughts to enter my mind, negative tormenting, guilty, unforgiving, shameful and accusing thoughts. My problem was I had no idea that I could control my thoughts or choose which thoughts to focus on and believe in.
What I fail to realize, no one ever told me I could win in my mind until I got to college. You see if I was thinking about something that was not true, I had the power to stop it . Now no one ever told me I could win in my mind until I got to college. My question to you like has anyone ever told you? If not, then I’m here today to tell you that you don’t have to let your thoughts take control of you. You see you can choose and focus your thoughts on God thoughts!

You see in Romans 12:2 it says”let God transform you, by changing the way you think.” God wants to help you win the battle in your mind. Les Brown says it best ” a made up mind is the most Powerful thing you have.” But what does that look like to you if you are on a practical level?

Here’s what has worked countless times for me and what I know will work for you too: The next time you are wrestling in your mind with an issue, I want you to stop and find something specific that you can thank God for.  Tell Him how grateful you are for his goodness and all the rich ways he has blessed your life. As you are diligent to do this, you will see your life began to change right before your very own eyes. Your life will change and get better.

You see you have something more powerful than any weapon ever form against you and that is a “Made up Mind”…don’t let it go to waist.

Greatness is upon you…you just have to flip the switch.

Be Great
