We Must Eradicate All Excuses!!
Just recently in my hometown Chicago, IL this past weekend 8 people were murdered and 45 were shot! This year over 2000 people shot in all. We a must begin eradicate all the excuses! We are walking around in the Black community as if we do not know what to do or how to start to correct this problem. We have a self love problem as well as a leadership problem. We live in problematic society where we think and accept that is okay for everyone including ourselves to do any and every violent thing to us and most of the time there are minor consequences. We as Black People have become so conditioned to violent crimes in the Urban Communities across America accepting this as the “norm” in our communities which is so sad. We go through this same strong rally justice for the victims for a short duration and it soon gets weak and fades away until the next major violent acts are committed. You see I am not judging but just fed up with the excuses that we don’t know what to do when have these smart phones in our hands to do research. Instead we use them for viewing social media foolery such as “World Star” who is no away associated with “Hip-Hop” at all! We watch and are entertained by our own people degrading one another committing some ungodly acts for the whole world to view and adding more discounting to the Black race. What we must do is look at what the Fore-Fathers did before us like Dr. King, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers and so many others. We can make excuses or band together to commit to change…yes it will be struggle but the old saying says it best “no progress without a struggle.”
Parents, pastors, teachers, community leaders and government officials as well as the law enforcement must band together. We must understand that in the Black Community the majority of Political Figures are all about themselves truth be told. You have to understand in the Black Communities across America most politicians view us as “non-factors” meaning we are not important until election time or there is brand building opportunity when the media is involved…majority of the time during a tragic event.
Come on people we must first understand you control these politicians in two ways 1.) Make a petition to remove based on their poor performance. 2.) Find their replacement at election time. Remember their is strength in numbers. This insanity must stop!
We as a people too must become accountable for our children and raise them. Stop making excuses about being afraid to discipline your kids or that you cannot reach them. You see we as parents sometimes have become so disenfranchised with our kids; we have lost our core roots in rearing our kids due to so many circumstances. However, we are responsible for the kids our communities( it takes a village to raise a child) we live in and other people’s kids in the community. You see community means “together” we live eat together and see each other daily. A community is all about the people and the businesses, churches and government officials working together for the good of all people. As for police if we must get to know the people in the community and the kids too! So when they grow you have an established rapport with the people and the kids who become young adults. Police must build trust much like a salesman, a teacher and a politician or pastor.
As for the church you must have a everlasting presence daily in the community people are broken and need the church like never before! The bottom line we must all eradicate excuses and become committed to change in the Black Communities across America. Let’s be clear we cannot become involved but we must fully immersed ourselves in these troubled waters. Involved to means I am there when there is a media photo opportunity not daily when no one is around! Now is the time to eradicate the excuses Black People.#Becourageous
